God Knows

God Knows

O LORD, you have searched me and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD.
You hem me in—behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.
If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,”
even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
                                      Psalm 139: 1-16.
Here is why God can Judge us and men cannot. The Psalmist makes it clear that God knows our very being. He knows what makes us tick. He knows why we are like we are.
No man has any true idea what is on the inside of another man. We cannot read a persons thoughts or truly understand a persons motives for doing what he does.
I know people from all walks of life. People who’s lifestyle is quite different to mine and I accept them. Sadly many, particularly Christians, do not.
Jesus said,
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
                     Matthew 7:1,2.
A true Christian will obey this command of Jesus because they recognize that only God knows a mans hart.
A true Christian will present the offer of Jesus to those around him who said,
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
                                   Matthew 11:28-30.
Jesus made it clear saying,
“...I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
                                                                                                                           John 14:6
The Apostle Paul wrote,
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—  not by works, so that no one can boast.
                                                    Ephesians 2:8,9.
Salvation and the eternal life it gives is free have you accepted it.
Do you know Christ as your Lord and Saviour?
Jesus does not discriminate. He loves and cares for you irrespective of your way of life or your lifestyle and he offers to you a peace for your soul that passes all understanding.
Will you consider accepting him as your Lord and saviour today.
Think about it.
