Not all are Christians

Not all are Christians

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’
Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’”
                                                                                                                 Matthew 7:21-23

I write this as a Christian to non-Christians.
I over the years have heard many say, “why should I become a Christian because I am better than those who say they are Christians. I know what they do and I’m better than them.”
Most of the time I would agree with that statement especially if someone has to tell you their a Christian.
Francis of Assisi wrote,
“Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words.”
                                                                                   Francis of Assisi.
It’s a true statement. If someone has to tell you they are a Christian they probably are not.
Not all people who go to church are Christians. Not all people who preach from the pulpit or claim to be evangelist either in the media or out, are Christian. There are a lot of charlatans out there just trying to make a quick buck.
A person who is truly a Christian will make mistakes. They are far from perfect but they are trying to live a good life.
C. S. Lewis said of Christians,
“The Christian does not think God will love us because we are good, but that God will make us good because He loves us.”
                                            C.S. Lewis.
A true Christian will never force their faith on anyone. They will present the message of Christ to you simply and honestly.
Put simply it’s this is what a Christian will present. Jesus said,
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
                                                                                                                John 14:6.
He also said,
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.  Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”
                                                                 John 3:16-18.
For a Christian there is no nobler thing they can do than present the good news of Jesus Christ to those who don’t believe. Then leave it for them to decide.
Please think about it.
