God knit you

God knit you.

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”
                                                                           Psalm 139:13-16.
A while ago I heard a group of so called Christians attacking the LGBT community. It frankly upset me. While these people may have been Christians by the slimmest of margins they were way off base in what they were saying.
As it seems usual with people like this they held homosexuality up as some “special sin”. It’s a lot of garbage. It proved to me these people lacked understanding. And they definitely were not following the teachings of Jesus to love God, your neighbour and even your enemy.
No one knows what goes on in the heart and mind of an individual. No one truly knows what makes a person who they are. Only God knows that. The Psalmist wrote,
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
When I hear any Christian attacking anyone it angers me. It reminds me of the story in the Gospel of John chapter eight of the women caught in adultery. These men were being hypercritical in bringing this woman before Jesus because they had sin in their life. Jesus said to them.
“If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.”
                                                                                                                  John 8:7b.
The apostle Paul writing to Christians states,
“What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?
 1 Corinthians 5:12.
Sadly many claiming to be Christians do judge those outside the church and as such turn them away from God.
The apostle Paul tells us Salvation is not through works but by the grace of God. He states,
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—  not by works, so that no one can boast.”
                                                       Ephesians 2:8,9
Getting to heaven is believing Jesus is all he said he is when he said,
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
                                                                                                                                             John 14:6
It is about making the right choice. A choice Jesus gave us when he said,
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.  Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son”.
                                                                                                                                     John 3:16-18.
Salvation is an act of faith on the part of the individual. Believing Jesus is the one and only Son of God the saviour of mankind. It is a decision between the individual and God.
Do you believe this?
Please think about it.
