All
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30.
Here is one of my favourite quotes from the Bible. They are the words of Jesus. It’s first line says it all.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
By all it means all. The God I serve is a God of inclusion.
Jesus does not exclude anyone. He doesn’t care what race you are, where you live or your lifestyle. He only cares for you.
Over the years and still in the media we hear evangelist yammering on against various groups.
Over the years such evangelist and pastors have condemned everything from rock and roll to Elvis Presley’s gyrating hips. They have judged the Gay community and the anything else they disagree with including other Christian groups.
They are wrong. Jesus in Matthew 7:1,2
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
Matthew 7:1,2.
A Christian has no right to judge anyone only God can do that because only God knows the heart.
Jesus wants everyone everywhere to know that joy of salvation. To have eternal life.
That’s why he made the above statement,
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30.
He knows we all go through trials and troubles. He knows the pressures on our lives but he promises that if we accept Him into our life we will be their for us to lighten the load.
Please think about letting Jesus into your life today.
