We may Ignore God

We may Ignore God
C. S Lewis said,
“We may ignore, but we can nowhere evade, the presence of God.”
                                                                                                         C. S. Lewis.
Every man and woman on this earth has, I believe a sense of eternity and that there is a God. The individual may choose to ignore the thought but that does not negate the fact that God exists.
C. S. Lewis said,
“A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word 'darkness' on the walls of his cell.”
C.S. Lewis, The Problem of Pain.
When God created man He wanted someone who would truly believe in Him. Someone who would trust and honour him of their own free will. Thus rather than making a robot, God created man and gave him a freewill to believe and do as he wished.
In order for that freewill to be truly free God even had to let the individual choose to believe in Him or not.
God made belief in Him an act of faith.
The writer of Hebrews stating,
“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”
                                                                                                                       Hebrews 11:1
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.’
                                                                                                      Hebrews 11:6.
God however did not ask man to have blind faith in Him. Rather He showed Himself through the words of the Old Testament prophets, through the writers of the New Testament and through Jesus.
He also created a universe that shows His handiwork.
The Psalmist wrote,
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge.
There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.”
                                                                                      Psalm 19:1-3.
We live in a perfect universe. Created in such a way that life as we know it on this planet can exist.
One professor a scientist said to me, not only is the Earth at the right distance from the sun to allow life to exist here, but all the stars and other bodies in space are fine tuned in such a way as to allow earth to sustain life.
I for one cannot believe this is all by chance.
Still ultimately Whether you believe in God is up to you, the one reading this. If there is no God you have nothing to fear.
If there is a God and I believe there is, then you have lot to think about.
Jesus put things plainly when he talking about himself said,
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.  Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son”.
                                                                                                                              John 3:16-18.
Please think about it.
