The Song
Ben Zion Bokser Wrote,
“I have not seen the robin but I know he is there because I heard him singing through my window from the tree-top outside.
I have not seen God. But I have looked at my child’s eyes, and have been overwhelmed by the miracle of unfolding life.
I have watched the trees bedeck themselves with new garbs of green in the spring, and have been stirred by the miracle of continual rebirth.
I have looked at the stars, and have been overcome by the miracle of the grandeur and majesty of the universe.
I know that God exists, because I have heard the song of His presence from all the tree-tops of creation.
Ben Zion Bokser.
I have talked to many who do not believe in God. They say they can’t see or touch God therefore he doesn’t exist. To which I say there are a lot of things that you can’t see or touch but you know exists.
There’s a funny little story about a conversation in school between a ten year old named Johnny and his teacher.
Johnny said. “But miss I know there is a God. The Bible tell me there is.”
The teacher replied, “Johnny you can’t see God can you?”
“No miss” replied Johnny.
“You can’t touch God can you?” said the teacher.
“No miss” said Johnny.
“Then if you can’t see or touch God what makes you think He’s real?” asked the teacher.
“A little girl, another eight year old raised her hand.
“Yes Jenny?” asked the teacher.
“Miss.” said Jenny “miss we can’t see or touch your brain. Does that mean it’s doesn’t exist?”
The lesson being, just because you can’t see or touch something doesn’t mean it is nonexistent.
Thus it is with God. We as humans do not know everything therefor if we simply say because we can’t see it or touch it, it doesn’t exist. Doesn’t necessarily make it so.
Like I’ve said in previous blog postings, We can’t see subatomic particles yet they exist.
How do we know these things exist. We know because well educated people looked around them and said such and such is happening therefor, there must be something we can’t see that is causing it to happen.
These men then wrote there theory down and had faith that they were right. Einstein is a good example. It is only recently a hundred years after he postulated some of his theories that they are being proved.
Thus is with God.
As Ben Zion Bokser said,

The Psalmist states,
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge.
There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.”
Psalm 19:1-3.
In order to truly know God a person needs faith. The writer of Hebrews stating,
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
Hebrews 11:6
Faith defined as,
“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”
Hebrews 11:1.
Some Christians say faith is simple. It’s not. Believing in something you cannot see. Putting your trust in something that you cannot touch is very hard. Just ask any scientist that has put forth a controversial theory.
Having faith in something you cannot see or touch takes great trust. Thus it is with God. God want’s people He can trust. That’s why God asks us to have faith in Him even though we cannot see or touch him.
Please think about it.
