God is Real. Deal with it!
C. S. Lewis states,
“A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word 'darkness' on the walls of his cell.” C.S. Lewis, The Problem of Pain.
The Psalmist puts it more bluntly saying,
“The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” Psalm 14:1.
The nice thing about God is when He created mankind he gave each person complete freedom. God did not want robots to do his bidding. He wanted an individual who can think for himself. Someone with whom God can have fellowship. Thus the reason He gave man complete freedom.
That complete freedom in order to be complete also gave man the right to believe in God or not.
I and any Christian will tell you it does take faith to believe in God. People who have faith in something are the most loyal of believers. Faith defined is,
“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1
Having faith in God pleases Him. The writer of Hebrews telling us,
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Hebrews 11:6.
While God gives us complete freedom of belief, He also warns us that one day He will judge the world whether we believe in him or not. The writer of Ecclesiastes states,
“Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.
For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.” Ecclesiastes 12:13,14.
Jesus speaking about himself said,
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son”. John 3:16-18.
The choice therefore is yours. Please take some time to read the New Testament at the very least and learn for yourself. Read what Jesus and the apostles believed and taught. Then decide for yourself.
Please think about it.
