Words to live by

  Words to live by

The apostle Paul wrote,

“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.

Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervour, serving the Lord.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.

Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” Romans 12:9-18.

These are not my words but the words of the apostle Paul. They are words everyone who is a true believer in Christ Jesus should live by, in word and in deed.

Are you?

Please think about it.

Words to Live by

Words to live by.
Jesus said,
“So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets” Matthew 7:12.
I was told by a very wise man when I was a new Christian. That if I was to memorize only one verse and put it into action into my life it should be Matthew 7:12
This verse in the epitome of Christian teaching.
It is Universal truth all people can put into practice in their lives no matter who they are.
What it means is simple. When you do anything to someone else. You need to pause and ask yourself. Would I want what I was doing to another person done to me. If the answer is no you shouldn’t be doing it.
Please think about it.
