 A warning to all

In the book of James we read,

"Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming upon you.  Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes.  

Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days.  

Look! The wages you failed to pay the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty.  

You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter.  

You have condemned and murdered innocent men, who were not opposing you." James 5:1-6

In Ecclesiastes we read,

"Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole  duty of man. 

For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil." Ecclesiastes12:13,14.

What is said above is not just for the wealthy but for all people. It is important especially if you claim to be a Christian, a true follower of Christ Jesus, that you deal honestly with those you interact with, be they a customer, some one who works for you or just some random person you deal with.

So are you dealing honestly with people? What will God say about your dealings when you stand before Him on judgement day?

Jesus said,
“So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets” Matthew 7:12.
I know the Talmud is a Jewish book, and not a Christian one but a truth is a truth no matter where it’s found. I think in this case I could see such a scenario happens. The Talmud states,
“When a man appears before the Throne of Judgment, the first question he is asked is not, “Have you believed in God?”  Or “Have you prayed and observed the ritual?  “He is asked: “have you dealt honourably and faithfully in all your dealings with your fellow men?” The Talmud
God does not have to ask any questions of anyone who stands before Him he already knows the answer.
Still I can see him asking an individual such a question to see if they feel they have dealt honourably with their fellow man. Or if they give some excuse for not dealing honourably with the people they come in contact with.
Jesus told this parable.
“There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day.  
At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores. 
“The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried.  
In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side.  
So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’ 
“But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony.  
And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’ 
“He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father’s house,  
for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’ 
“Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’ 
“ ‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’ 
“He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’” Luke 16:19-31.
Sadly there are many people from every strata of society that do not treat those around them with respect. There are even some in churches calling themselves Christians who do not treat other people with respect. To them and indeed to all people, the writer of Ecclesiastes writes,
“Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole  duty  of man. 
For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.”Ecclesiastes 12:13,14.

Honourably

The writer of Ecclesiastes said,

I believe it. I also believe God will ask us something similar to what the Talmud states,
"When a man appears before the Throne of Judgment, the first question he is asked is not, “Have you believed in God?”  Or “Have you prayed and observed the ritual?  “He is asked: “have you dealt honourably and faithfully in all your dealings with your fellow men?”

God wants to hear from our own mouths the truth as to how we feel we dealt with our fellow man. Jesus tells this parable,

Today I would ask you when you stand before God will you be able to say you “have you dealt honourably and faithfully in all your dealings with your fellow men?”
If you are a business owner do you pay your employees a good living wage and benefits? To you do you best to even help them from time to time. An example would be allowing a parent to take time off to care for a sick child or family member.
If you are a politician do you do what is right for the individual in your constituency. Do you help pass legislation that specifically benefits the poorest in your constituency rather than simply pass tax breaks.
As an individual do you respect others and do what you can to help the poor and less fortunate in your community?
When you stand before God what will he say to you?

The above is somewhat how I imagine it when it comes to standing before God.
The Atheist can’t exactly say to God you don’t exist because he is standing before God. The theist can’t say that either because he or she believes God exists even before they got there.
So the question becomes “have you dealt honourably and faithfully in all hour dealings with your fellow man?”
This question applies to everyone from the poorest person living in the poorest neighbourhood on earth to the greatest politician to the richest person on earth and everyone in between.
God I believe will ask this question, not because he doesn’t know how we’ve dealt with our fellow man, because he does, but because he want’s an honest answer from us.
Will you be able to answer yes to that question?
I believe the further our society drifts from God and the fear of God’s ultimate judgement the worse our society becomes,

Here is a truth that extends not just for Jew, but to Christians and even those who do not believe in God.
“have you dealt honourably and faithfully in all your dealings with your fellow men?”
As a believer I have no doubt we will all stand before God one day to be judged. At that point the answer to the question does God exist will be answered.
I can also see God asking us for an honest to the question, “have you dealt honourably and faithfully in all your dealings with your fellow men?”
Treating our fellow man with honesty, love, and understanding is something we all need to do.
Prior to me becoming a Christian I was taken by the truth in the words to the theme tune of the “Good by Mr. Chips.” the word are,
