Is God your Strength?

Is God your Strength?

The Psalmist writes,

"I love you, O LORD, my strength.

The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold." Psalm 18:1,2.

Do you love the LORD?

Is God, your, rock, your fortress, your deliverer. The rock in which you take refuge?

Is God the first person you go to in time of trouble?

Are you willing to trust God with your life?

Take a few minutes to assess your relationship with God. Ask yourself can I say with the Psalmist,

"I love you, O LORD, my strength.

The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold." Psalm 18:1,2.

Please think about it.

Our

  Our

The Psalmist writes,

“I love you, O LORD, my strength.

The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;

my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.

He is my shield and the horn of my salvation,

 my stronghold.”

                    Psalm 18:1,2.

The way I see it as Christians. As believers in Christ Jesus we need to put God first in our lives. We should without doubting make God...

                    our strength

                                                             our rock

                                                             our fortress

                                                             our deliverer

                                                     our shield

                                                             our stronghold

                                                             our Salvation

                                                             The One we take refuge in.

Question; if you consider yourself a Christian, a follower of Christ Jesus is God truly all of the above mentioned things to you?

Please think about it.

Is He?

 Is He?

The Psalmist wrote,

“God is our refuge and strength,

an ever-present help in trouble”

                                                     Psalm 46:1.

Is God the first person you go to in times of trouble? Think carefully about it. When you come up against adversity what is your first instinct?

In first Chronicles we read,

“Look to the Lord and his strength;

seek his face always.”

                                      1 Chronicles 16:11.

As believers in God. As believers in Christ Jesus we should be looking to God not only when we are in trouble, but at all times.

In proverbs we read,

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart

and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways acknowledge him,

and he will make your paths straight."

                                                            Proverbs 3:5,6.

So I ask you; is God your refuge and strength?

Please think about it.

You decide

  You decide

The psalmist writes,

"You are my refuge and my shield;

 I have put my hope in your word."

                                                      Psalm 119:114.

I am a Christian. I believe in Christ Jesus. I believe that Jesus is God incarnate, God in the flesh.

I believe the writer of Hebrews who said,

"In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.  Hebrews 1:1,2.

I believe each person who hears about Jesus must make their own decision as to who he is.

The only thing I would ask of anyone making a decision about who Jesus is, is to read the New Testament with an open mind. Then decide for yourself if Jesus is all he says he is.

Please think about it.

An eternal bet

An eternal bet

The psalmist writes,
"You are my refuge and my shield;
I have put my hope in your word."
                                                        Psalm 119:114.
Here is a simple thought. There are many in this world who say there is no God. I respect their beliefs.
That being said I believe there is a God who loves us. The creator of heaven and earth. A God who entered the world He created in the form of His one and only Son Jesus.
If I am wrong I have nothing to fear. Blaise Pascal wrote,
“Belief is a wise wager. Granted that faith cannot be proved, what harm will come to you if you gamble on its truth and it proves false? If you gain, you gain all; if you lose, you lose nothing. Wager, then, without hesitation, that He exists.” Blaise Pascal.
Thus my question to you the reader; Where have you placed your bet?
Please think about it.
