If you follow Christ.

If you follow Christ

In the book of Chronicles we read,

“Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name; make known among the nations what He has done.

Sing to Him, sing praise to Him; tell of all His wonderful acts.

Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.

Look to the LORD and His strength; seek His face always.

Remember the wonders He has done, His miracles, and the judgments He pronounced,...” 1 Chronicles 16:8-12.

If you claim to be a follower of Christ

Do you do what the writer of Chronicles is saying to do?

Do you sing praises to The Lord?

Do you tell those around you what God has done?

Do you rejoice in knowing The Lord and all He has done for you?

Do you remember wonders, miracles and judgements He has pronounced?

Please think about it.

Tell your world about God.

 Tell your world about God

In the book of 1Chronicles we read,

"Give thanks to the LORD,

call on his name;

make known among the nations what he has done.

Sing to him,

sing praise to him;

tell of all his wonderful acts.

Glory in his holy name;

let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.

Look to the LORD and his strength;

seek his face always.

Remember the wonders he has done,

his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,..."

                                                                     1 Chronicles 16:8-12

Here the writer of Chronicles tells believers to tell the world about God and all that He has done for us.

If you are a Christian, a true believer in Christ Jesus, are you doing this?

If you are not it’s time to start telling the world around you about your faith in God.

Please think about it.

Quite a day

 Quite the Day

In the book of Revelations we read,

“After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb.

They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.

And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb."  Revelations 7:9,10.

This is part of what the apostle John seen as recorded in the book of Revelations. It is a day that will one day come to pass. And when it happens it will be quite a day.

Believers from every nation, tribe, people and language will stand before the throne of God and give him praise.

But if we are true believers in Christ Jesus we don’t have to wait until we get to heaven to praise God. We can do it right now. We simply have to lift our voices and praise God.

The Psalmist states,

Praise the LORD.

“Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens.

Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness.

Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre,

praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute,

praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals.

Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.

Praise the LORD.”

                                  Psalm 150

Why not take a bit of time right now and Praise The LORD?

Please think about it.

Do you praise The Lord

Do you praise The Lord

“I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart;

I will tell of all your wonders.

I will be glad and rejoice in you;

I will sing praise to your name, O Most High."

                                                                    Psalm 9:1,2

A simple question to believers.

Do you do what Psalm 9:1,2 is saying?

If not, why not?

Please think about it.

Things to do

Things to do

In the book of Chronicles we read,

“Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name; make known among the nations what He has done.

Sing to Him, sing praise to Him; tell of all His wonderful acts.

Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.

Look to the LORD and His strength; seek His face always.

Remember the wonders He has done, His miracles, and the judgments He pronounced,...” 1 Chronicles 16:8-12.

Do you do this?

Do you sing praises to The Lord?

Do you tell those around you what God has done?

Do you rejoice in knowing The Lord and all He has done for you?

Do you remember wonders, miracles and judgements He has pronounced?

Please think about it.

I will Praise

  I will Praise

The Psalmist writes,

“I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart;

I will tell of all your wonders.

I will be glad and rejoice in you;

I will sing praise to your name,

 O Most High."

                                                    Psalm 9:1,2.

As a believer in Christ Jesus I believe this is what I must do. If you consider yourself to be a true believer in Christ Jesus are you doing this also?

Please think about it.

I will. Do you?

  I will. Do you?

The Psalmist writes,

“I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart;

 I will tell of all your wonders.

I will be glad and rejoice in you;

 I will sing praise to your name,

O Most High."

                                              Psalm 9:1,2.

If you call yourself a Christian, a follower of Christ Jesus, do you praise The Lord with your whole heart?

Do you tell those around you of his wonders?

Do you?

Please think about it.

Praise God

Praise God
The Psalmist writes,
“Praise the LORD.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
 praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with tambourine and dancing,
praise him with the strings and flute,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
 Praise the LORD”
                                           Psalm 150
Many years ago when I was young I performed in a gospel group. We were somewhat successful on a local level. Managing to perform at various venues from coffee houses to churches around southern Ontario.
Our performances consisted of music, theatre, and interpretive dance.
A couple of fond memories I have of back then is that rehearsals were more like a praise meeting. As was meal times. Rather than saying grace we sung it. Singing
Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
Praise Him all creatures here below.
Praise Him above ye heavenly hosts.
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
We sang not just because we were a gospel group. We sang because we believed what we were singing. We believed that no matter the situation we were in, God was worthy of being praised.
It is something believers in Christ Jesus need to be doing especially in these uncertain times.
Please think about it.

The Christian life

The Christian Life,
The apostle Paul writing to the Romans tells believers in plane language how they are to live. I place it hear without commentary for you to read for yourself. What I would ask is, is what Paul outlines here reflective of your life, Paul writes,
“‘Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.
Live in harmony with one another.
Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.
Do not be conceited.
Do not repay anyone evil for evil.
Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody.
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.
On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."Romans 12:9-21.
So if you claim to be a believer in Christ Jesus is this how you are living.
Please think about it
