The Way

Henry Ward Beecher said.
“Flowers may beckon towards us, but they speak toward heaven and God.” Henry Ward Beecher.
Beecher was right but perhaps in a way he couldn’t have realized. Flowers in deed all nature points us to God.
I have shown here a Rose as we see it and a Rose as seen under an electron microscope. It is beautiful seen both ways. At the other end of the spectrum is the picture of the Whirlpool Galaxy taken by the Hubble Space telescope.
All three pictures have one thing in common they are wonderfully and marvellously made. Each atom, each subatomic particle works in perfect harmony with each other to produce what we see and benefit from.
The psalmist states,
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge.
There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.”
Psalm 19:1-3.
The world as we know it is in the perfect place in the universe to sustain life as we know it. To my mind that means there is a creator behind it all.
To say there isn’t is to be blind to the facts or takes more faith than I personally have.
I cannot conceive of a universe that was not God created. I cannot believe that we were simply born to create the next generation and pass into oblivion. To me when I look at the universe even without looking into the Bible I see God’s handiwork.
I do believe the writer of Genesis who said,
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1.
As a Christian I also believe the words of the apostle John who said,
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He was with God in the beginning.
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
In him was life, and that life was the light of men....
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. ” John 1:1-4,14.
I believe the one who John calls “The Word” is Jesus. Who is God incarnate. God in the flesh. Who came to this world to point man to heaven.
The Writer of Hebrews speaking of Jesus tells us,
“In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.” Hebrews 1:1-3.
The choice however to believe in God or not is up to you the reader. For God in creating mankind gave every individual the freedom to choose to believe in Him or not.
What I would however ask is that you at least read the New Testament first before you make your decision. Don’t rely on what others say about Jesus and God. Read the New Testament as see what those early believers in Jesus believed Jesus to be.
Please think about it.
